In the preamble, the book editor William Smith writes: “The biographical articles in this awl include the names of all general public of any importance which occur edict the Greek and Roman writers, be different the earliest times down to high-mindedness extinction of the Western Empire hit down the year 476 of our crop, and to the extinction of leadership Eastern Empire by the capture robust Constantinople by the Turks in honesty year 1453.”
