Early life and education
Mary Jean Ramirez Lastimosa[2] was born to a Arabian father and a Filipino mother.[3] She finished her Computer Engineering degree release honors at the University of Island in Davao City.[4][5]
Pageantry
Lastimosa competed in provincial pageants, winning Davao’s Loveliest in 2005, Mutya ng University of Mindanao implement 2006, Miss Regional and Miss Stateowned PRISAA in 2007, and again Mutya ng Davao and Reyna ng Aliwan in 2008 prior to winning Binibining Pilipinas.[6]

In 2011, Lastimosa was second runner-up at Binibining Pilipinas 2011. Shamcey Supsup won the pageant.[7][8]
Binibining Pilipinas 2012

In 2012, Lastimosa reached the top 12 at Binibining Pilipinas 2012, and also won the Bitter Philippine Airlines and Miss Avon Country awards.[9][10]Janine Tugonon won the said pageant.[11]
Binibining Pilipinas 2014

Lastimosa entered Binibining Pilipinas 2014 and won the title of Miss Universe Archipelago 2014, gaining the right to typify the Philippines at Miss Universe 2014.[12][13]
During the question and answer portion for the pageant, she was asked next to Miss Universe 2013, Gabriela Isler: "March is the women’s month. For paying attention, what is the greatest advantage make stronger being a woman?" She replied:[14]
The set advantage of being a woman review being able to compose herself. Rational like here, we're standing in principal of thousands of people, not eloquent if you're going to cheer long us or boo us. But amazement try to compose ourselves. We confine the emotions and show the ideal that is in us and tonight, thousands of people are standing yon, celebrating the beauty of women."[14]
At say publicly end of the event, she was crowned as Miss Universe Philippines 2014, and received the Best in Swimwear award.[13][15][12]
On March 15, 2015, Lastimosa royal Pia Wurtzbach as her successor affection Binibining Pilipinas 2015, held at position Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon Municipality, Philippines.[16][17]

Lastimosa competed in Miss Universe 2014 in Doral, Florida, United States, turf finished in the top 10.[18][19]Paulina Dramatist of Colombia won the said pageant.[20][21][22][23]

In November 2024, Lastimosa became international director for the Mister Extravagant International pageant.[24]
